Year 11 student Maddison has recently become the U18 Australian Champion in the 800m and 1500m track events. A story about her achievements was featured in the Moonee Valley Leader Newspaper 30/3/16.


Church angels

Lowther Hall is partnering with St Paul’s Cathedral in Melbourne to provide the first girls’ cathedral choir in the southern hemisphere. This significant milestone for our school, and appropriate recognition of girls and women within the Anglican Church, was featured in Channel 9 News report. You can watch it here.

WOMAN BOSS KICKS EARLY GOALS

Old Grammarian and current staff member, Leanne Backwell, has become the second female President of the Lancefield Football Netball Club. You can read a story about her appointment here.


AWARD OPENS NEW DOORS

Zoe and Stephanie (class of 2015) and Tamara (class of 2014) were featured in the Moonee Valley Leader (9/12/15) for their achievements in completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. 




ELLEN OUR INSPIRATION

Year 4 have created a video message to Ellen DeGeneres explaining why they have chosen her as their inspirational figure, and uploaded it to her video sharing website 'ellentube'. Their video has reached the 'best of user submitted' page. You can view the video here.

Zoe Hawke (class of 2015) was celebrated in an article in the Midland Express recently for her achievement in completing her Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. 





OLD GRAMMARIAN JULIE HASKELL PRESENTS CONCERT AT THE MELBOURNE RECITAL CENTRE

Melbourne pianist and old grammarian Julie Haskell (class of 1981) presented a concert showcasing well-known sonata movements by Mozart and Beethoven, in the Salon of the Melbourne Recital Centre Thursday 29 October.
