The Class of 2014 has achieved excellent results in their VCE studies:

  • 22.5% of the cohort scored an ATAR of 95 or more, placing them in the top 5% of Australia.
  • 36.6% scored an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of the nation.
  • 44% of graded assessments for this cohort were an A or an A+.

These results reflect the fact that girls have undertaken subjects about which they are passionate and which play to their strengths.

  • 27% of girls have been awarded the VCE (Baccalaureate) – an additional form of recognition for students who successfully meet the demands of studying a higher level mathematics and a language in their VCE program.

Congratulations to Lowther Clarke Scholar (Dux) of 2014, Greer Sutherland who has attained an ATAR score of 99.65. Greer studied: Literature, Italian Second Language , French Second Language, Mathematical Methods, Psychology, Politics, and Conservation and Land Management.

A perfect score of 50/50 was achieved by Erica Gillis in Food and Technology and also by Xiaofan (Carol) Chai (Year 10) in Chinese Second Language Advanced.

We are proud of all girls whose results are the product of sustained effort over many years and who have demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of excellence. We also acknowledge the role of the staff, whose commitment and dedication play a key role in these results.   What is most important to us at Lowther Hall is that for each girl, her journey through school and, in particular VCE, has equipped her with the experiences, skills and qualities which she will put to use in the world beyond school.
