Emma Rowe (Year 12) Madelyn Kelcey (Year 12) and Sarah Julian (Class of 2013) received their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards on Saturday night at a ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall.

Principal Ms Elisabeth Rhodes and Deputy Principal, Head of Senior School Ms Tracy Healy were in attendance at the event.

The Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award requires participants to complete 12 months of:
-       Progressive improvement in an aspect of physical recreation
-       Development of a special ‘skill/talent’
-       Completion of Community Service
They must also train, plan and undertake a 4 day ‘adventurous journey’, as well as participating in a 5 day residential project (which involves staying away from home and working in a shared environment).

Congratulations girls, on a fantastic achievement!
