Our Juniors ran a distance of 3km. Setting the bar high, the girls came away with first place! On top of this, we had four girls placing in the top ten of the division:

DIVISION THREE – JUNIOR A

First: Molly Gallagher – 10:26.6

Second: Leteitia Presser – 10:57.2

Third: Mardi Sutherland – 11:17.9

Seventh: Demi Marston – 11:46.3

The Intermediate team followed strongly in suit, running 4km and placing third! We also had two girls in the top ten of the division:

DIVISION THREE – INTERMEDIATE A

First: Maddison Caulfield – 14:36.0

Fifth: Caroline Higham – 16:17.3

With expectations high, the Seniors staggered up to the line, ready to run their 4km, coming away with fourth place!

Sixth: Stephanie Higham – 16:10.9

Congratulations to the girls in Years 5 and 6 who began the day’s competition with their 2km race. Needless to say, the future of Lowther Hall’s Cross Country team is more than prosperous in their hands! Girls who finished in the top ten include:

CHAMPIONSHIP CROSS COUNTRY TOP TEN YEARS 5 & 6

Third: Isabel Young – 7:40.57

Ninth: Louise Watt – 7:57.63

Overall Lowther Hall came in first place, which makes us two-year champions of Division 3!

Thank you to our coaches, Mrs Maria Abfalter, Mrs Cathy Matthews and Mr Sean Sherlock, who played an integral role throughout the season in helping the team achieve such outstanding results. Thank you also to Mrs Hoban for her help on the day.
