This week I am excited to officially launch the School’s new website.

This new site has been designed to have a dynamic and contemporary feel, while still conveying the essential values and priorities at the heart of our School community. There is a great deal of information included on the site. Whilst the site will be particularly informative for Lowther families of the future, we hope that there is also material that is interesting to our current families – a listing of forthcoming events, news items which are regularly updated and general information about aspects of our School.  This website is not a parent portal and it does not provide access to a student’s individual timetable or assessments. The weekly Bulletin at this point in time will continue to be emailed to our parent community directly – however you will find a number of Bulletin news items, as well as my weekly reflection incorporated into the site. You can also find electronic copies of Lowther News and galleries of photos from recent School events. I hope you enjoy exploring it.

I would also like to acknowledge the work of the staff who have been instrumental in bringing our website to life and the many other members of our School community who have written contributions or offered advice and feedback along the way.

Thank you to those who attended the Parent Forum this week, which was a “Coffee, Cake and Conversation” evening where I enjoyed meeting parents, answering questions and discussing issues relevant to their daughter’s education.

You may like to note in your diary our next Parent Forum, which will take place on Wednesday 29 October at 7.00pm in the Cultural Centre.  Ms Christine Nixon APM, former Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, will present on the topic “Men in a Girl’s World”.    I hope you can join us then.
