The girls returned to school for the start of Term 2 yesterday with high energy levels and a great deal of enthusiasm. We began the day with a whole school assembly where we celebrated the many ways in which girls across the School have demonstrated the Quality “She is confident and independent” so far this year.

Senior School enjoyed a great start to Term 2 with their House Athletics Day! Hindley came away with the overall win, and Perry took home back to back House Spirit Cups. Well done, girls!

It is hard to believe that it is already the end of term! There have been so many wonderful moments of learning, many personal and team sporting successes, musical highlights, cross-age experiences, great leadership and so much personal growth in the girls.

Did you know that 47 Lowther girls are heading to New York today to sing at the famous Carnegie Hall? Lowther Hall is the only international school selected for this exciting opportunity! These students from Years 8-12 form the 'Lowther Hall Touring Choir' and will also sing at Disneyland on this trip to the USA and Canada. We look forward to updating you on their journey. Good luck, girls!

Greetings from New York where the Choir Tour is about to swing into action! I am very much looking forward to hearing the girls sing at Carnegie Hall on the weekend and will provide a full update in next week’s Blog.

Our Kinder, Prep and Year 1 students donned safety vests and helmets recently for a special visit to the site of our new Early Years Centre! Construction is well underway for its opening in 2018.

International Women’s Day 2017 started with a flying start this year with the Senior School girls listening to Dr Leila Alem, a leader in the field of artificial intelligence and ICT innovation in their assembly. Dr Alem inspired the girls to follow their dreams and inspired many of them through the sharing of her own journey.

Thank you to all the parents who attended our annual Parent Welcome Evening, particularly those new to the School; it was lovely to see you all there. Thank you to the members of the Parents and Friends’ Association
