Senior Lowther Hip Hop Team ‘12th Edition’ have been crowned ‘Grand Champions’ after winning their Hip Hop section at the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation ‘Winterfest’ Competition!
You may have seen our new advertising campaign recently in the Moonee Valley Leader newspaper! The advert features the School’s new branding design and tag line “all about the girl”, and is intended to highlight Lowther Hall’s excellent location within Essendon and its proximity to transport links.
Year 4 student Tayla Soch has been awarded the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority award ‘Junior Triple Zero Hero’ at their 12th annual ceremony this week, for her outstanding effort when dialling 000 to save her mum.
Our congratulations to Year 11 student Ashleigh for her exemplary performances on Channel 9’s ‘The Voice’. Over a number of weeks the Lowther Hall community, along with Australian television audiences, have been following Ashleigh’s journey and her time spent on team Jessie J.
There have been exciting results in the past week in our Senior School Sports Department. Grant House students Alice, Olivia, Solange, Jessica, Yunjia and Zoe have won the all-female section of the Victorian Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships, and our Senior School Cross Country team have won their division at the GSV Cross Country Championship Carnival.
Exciting news for Year 11 student Ashleigh after she won last night’s ‘battle round’ on Channel 9’s ‘The Voice’ to stay on Team Jessie. Ashleigh’s moving performance of Disney’s ‘Colours of the Wind’ with fellow contestant Carmel Rodrigues received a standing ovation from all four coaches.
Congratulations to the Lowther Hall Junior School Chamber Choir who finished first in the Primary Schools Choirs division at the Boroondara Eisteddfod over the weekend!
Our congratulations to Year 11 student Ashleigh for her moving performance on Channel 9’s program ‘The Voice’ last night. Ashleigh impressed the audience as well as the coaches with her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s song ‘Reflection’.
Congratulations to the Lowther Hall Stage Band who finished first in their division at the Mt Gambier Generations in Jazz Festival in South Australia over the weekend!
Year 9 Information Technology students Chloe, Quyenie, Caitlin and Antigony are national winners in the Year 9&10 category of the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge! The girls took out the honour against 2300 entrants, two thirds of whom were male.
