Global Partnerships

Our Global & Local Partnerships

We are proud to foster meaningful partnerships both locally and globally, enriching the educational experience of our students and strengthening our connection to the wider world. Through relationships with sister schools in countries such as Japan and France, students are offered valuable opportunities for cultural exchange, language development, and international understanding. The School is also an active member of leading educational associations, including the International Coalition of Girls' Schools and Independent Schools Victoria, which support professional growth, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence in education. Additionally, Lowther Hall maintains strong links with charitable organisations such as Anglicare, encouraging students to engage in service and social justice initiatives that reflect the School’s values and commitment to making a positive impact. These partnerships play an important role in shaping globally aware, compassionate and community-minded young people.

We offer a range of enriching study tours and exchange opportunities with our partner schools, fostering global connections, cultural understanding and broadening our students’ perspectives beyond the classroom.

Lowther Hall has established relationships with schools overseas and in other parts of Australia. This enables us to offer our students the opportunity to experience a number of exchanges and study tours. Lowther Hall’s partner schools have been carefully selected, not just for their location, but because their values, ethos and expectations dovetail with our own.

Additional International Opportunities

Our students have the opportunity to engage with the world through enriching programs that foster global citizenship and cultural exchange. Each year, selected students attend the NASA Space Camp in the United States, immersing themselves in STEM-focused experiences alongside peers from around the globe. Our touring competition choir recently ventured to Europe, performing in renowned venues and participating in international choral festivals, showcasing both talent and teamwork on a world stage.

Charity and Fundraising Partnerships

The ethos of our motto non nobis solum, ‘not for ourselves alone’, guides our interactions with each other and the world beyond our walls. In order to actively demonstrate acts of non nobis solum, we foster a strong sense of social responsibility in our girls by supporting them to build charitable partnerships with a local, national and global reach. Doing so arms our students with practical and tangible ways to live out our Anglican identity. Having empathy for the plight of others sets our girls up to build meaningful connections with the world and understand their ability to shape it.

Local Charities

Led by the Prefect Body, House Fundraising Afternoon brings the entire school community together while raising funds and awareness for specific charities. Each year, House groups pair up to raise funds for a charity of their choice. In recent years these have included: Big Group Hug, Kicking Goals for Xav, Southern Cross Kids’ Camps, St Kilda Mums, Story Dogs and Wildlife Victoria.
