Taking the lead
Non Nobis Solum (not for ourselves alone)
Our motto, 'Not for Ourselves Alone,' embodies the heart of Lowther Hall’s philosophy. It inspires our students to lead with compassion, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and strive for excellence with a sense of purpose beyond personal gain. This guiding principle shapes our culture and reflects our commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Opportunity
We were the winner The Age’s 2023 ‘Schools that Excel’ award for non-government schools in Melbourne’s west. The annual series celebrates schools that achieve outstanding advancement in their VCE results. The Age has gathered VCE results data for the last 10 years for every secondary school in the State, and our award highlights our trajectory of improvement over that time. Initiatives we have highlighted that have contributed to our results are: a tailored program that covers the science of learning, how to take notes, discovering academic passions and pinpointing any areas where students need extra support. Student cross-age connections as well as personalised support from teachers have also been highlighted by our students.
