A dedicated group of parent volunteers from our Lowther Hall Walking School Bus were recently recognised at the Moonee Valley City Council’s National Volunteer Week Thank You event for 2025.
Held at the Clocktower Centre, the event celebrated over 100 volunteers from 13 different programs, with this year’s theme, ‘Connecting Communities’, highlighting the vital role that volunteers play in building stronger, more inclusive neighbourhoods.
Our very own Rezilia Maramis gave a heartfelt speech on behalf of the Lowther Hall Walking School Bus Program, speaking candidly about the joys and challenges of volunteering. Her words clearly resonated with the audience with several attendees expressing how deeply moved they were.
Our Walking School Bus is creating a safe, reliable, and joyful start to the school day and forging friendships along the way. Our volunteers are the reason it thrives.
We thank our 2025 volunteer team: Sarah Baxter, Andrea Blacker, Alison Bradfield, Amy Coghlan, Chris Coghlan, Roni Dattani, Kathryn Londrigan, Rezilia Maramis, Yusuf and Paige Pehlivan and Macy Tassanyi
