​In a complex community such as ours, there are always many challenges to be managed – whether it is making sure that every girl is learning, replacing staff who encounter illness or other difficulties, navigating building projects or keeping the books balanced!

​Our Year 9 students are currently visiting either Vietnam or Central Australia! They conduct field work in these areas each year to supplement their Humanities studies.

​Assemblies are one of the places where I get the most opportunity to speak to the girls and share ideas with the hope that I will be helpful! Last Friday in Junior School Assembly we focussed on dealing with disappointment and the girls shared experiences where a person might feel disappointed:

​Each year National Reconciliation Week celebrates and builds on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians. The dates that bookend the week are significant milestones in the reconciliation journey.

​Our congratulations to Year 12 student Rebecca Rusinovic! She has been selected to represent the Victorian Olympic Council at the International Youth Olympic Forum in Estonia in August!

I have felt such a sense of pride this week as I have sat in the audience for both the Senior School Production and the Evening of Song – these wonderful events are a testimony to the hard work and dedication of girls, staff and parents and were of a wonderful standard.

​Congratulations to all students and staff involved in our 'Evening of Song' event last night at the Melbourne Recital Centre! With over 300 students participating, the performance showcased choirs, soloists and vocal ensembles presenting an array of different pieces and styles. Well done, girls!

Congratulations to all cast, crew and orchestra involved in the Senior School production of ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’! More than 100 students, staff and parents helped bring this magical tale to sold-out audiences at the Clocktower Centre, Moonee Ponds, over the weekend. Well done to everyone involved!
