Another wonderful week at Lowther Hall with highlights including the Autumn Band Festival last night and a visit to the Early Years Centre building site for our youngest students. Final rehearsals are taking place with the 47 girls in Years 8 to 12 who are heading to New York next week for the Choirs of America Festival. I am delighted to be accompanying this trip and will look forward to hearing our girls sing in Carnegie Hall, at our sister school in Toronto and at Disneyland! I am sure we will have many wonderful highlights to share on our return.

On Sunday 12 March the Girls’ Voices of the Cathedral Choir sang their first Sunday Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral. During the service the newly appointed Head Chorister, Dean’s Chorister and two Senior Choristers were commissioned for their work and presented with their medallions of office.
The congregation greeted the girls with applause after their commissioning, and they were warmly congratulated by the Dean, the Very Reverend Dr Andreas Loewe, the Precentor, the Revd Canon Heather Patacca, the Director of Music of St Paul’s, Mr Philip Nicholls and the School Chaplain, Reverend Fraser and Principal, Ms Rhodes.
