This week I travelled to Canberra to join our Year 6 students on their Study Tour. During the time I spent with the girls I was impressed with their curiosity, knowledge and their support of one another as they explored various aspects of our nation’s capital. Sometimes we can become despondent at the lack of leadership we see in our own government and indeed, around the world, however, my experience at Lowther Hall is that we have fine leaders in the making. Whether it is amongst our elected Raymond House and Senior School girls who hold official positions of responsibility, or, as is often the case, within a classroom or playground experience where a girl will step up and assist others to find a way forward, leadership qualities are in abundance! I certainly take comfort from knowing that if Lowther girls are part of the mix, the leadership of the future will be in safe hands!
