It can feel hard to stay positive and optimistic when high numbers of COVID-19 cases are being reported each day. As well as dealing with feelings of despondency and “zoom fatigue” we are all expending energy adapting to the new measures introduced to try to keep our community safe. Fortunately at Lowther Hall there has been plenty happening to keep our spirits up! On Thursday I was delighted to join the Prep girls for their online celebration of 100 days of Prep! Seeing all their smiling faces and reflecting on everything that they have achieved this year, despite the challenges, was incredibly uplifting and I loved having a celebratory dance with them on zoom to mark the special occasion. Another highlight came on Thursday when our Years 10, 11 and 12 girls returned to face to face learning on site. The energy that they brought with them was joyous and despite everyone being behind a mask, it was wonderful to once again see girls and teachers working together in classrooms! Our community is such a source of strength and positivity at this time – how fortunate we are to have each other. Stay safe.
