What a blessing it is to be moving into Spring, with its warmer weather and promise of new life and growth. This week I had the opportunity to speak with the Senior School girls about having optimism and hope for the future, a quality that we try to foster in every Lowther Hall girl! We shared some strategies that we could use to stay optimistic in these challenging times, including: removing ourselves from negative influences, engaging in positive activities and exercise, making deliberate choices to see the positives, remembering and reaching out to those who are worse off and reminding ourselves of our proven capacity to manage difficult things. On our immediate horizon, we can perhaps feel particularly optimistic because the term break is upon us and with it, a chance for a change of pace, some time away from the screen and an opportunity to spend our time differently. For some of our senior girls the break will also afford valuable time to prepare for the forthcoming examinations and to build their confidence as they complete the final stages of their Lowther Hall journey. Looking slightly further ahead, it is also pleasing to now have a plan for the return to face to face learning in Term 4 (all being well!). I cannot wait to see the girls gradually returning to Leslie Road, beginning with our oldest and youngest students in the first few weeks. Cause for optimism indeed!

Finally, I would like to once again thank everyone for your support and encouragement throughout Term 3. The girls have undertaken some wonderful activities and been engaged in a great deal of learning with their teachers and leaders. It is a continued blessing to be part of this community as we all work together to provide the best possible experience for the girls. See you next term!
