It has come to our attention that a staff member within the Senior School Lowther Hall community who was on site Wednesday 15 July has tested positive to COVID-19. The staff member was a-symptomatic and undertook the test as part of the generalised suburb based testing, as encouraged by the Premier. As a result of this information, we will now be closing the School campus for the remainder of the week (Thursday 16 July and Friday 17 July) so that we can undertake a deep clean. Once this is completed, we will have certification that the School is safe for us to occupy again from Monday 20 July.

We are working with the Department of Health to manage this situation and the associated contact tracing. The staff member is a teacher in the Senior School and as per the Department’s advice, those staff (and the families whose daughters) are deemed to have had close contact with her will be contacted by the School immediately as part of our contact tracing process. These individuals will then self-isolate until they are contacted by the Department of Health. There is no need for any other individual to take any further action.

Please be assured that we will do everything necessary to make the site safe and to follow up with anyone at risk.
